This fall over 100 Chico State fraternity men were involved in Scour and Devour, A local community service event put on by Chico State Students and the city of Chico. The purpose of this event is to help clean up parts of the City that don't always get the much needed attention they deserve. On this day, Greeks and students come together to clean up the community we are all apart of. These locations include; north campus neighborhoods, CSUC campus, Chico Downtown, the rail road tracks, south campus neighborhoods, Nord Ave, the University farm, Bidwell Park, Chapman Community, and Humboldt Road. This years Scour was a huge a success and IFC will continue to remain involved in this rewarding Community Service event. Also, all IFC recognized Fraternities participate in a program called Adopt-a-block. Each fraternity is assigned a block in the region south of campus and five weekends every semester each fraternity is responsible for making sure the area is kept up, helping to keep south campus clean for everyone.
